May I take this opportunity to welcome you to the Metropolitan College of London (MCL).

MCL is dedicated to success for all located in the east of Central London. As an inner city community based new college, the institution has an aim and dedication to serve the community by meeting the education and training needs of the local community and will develop expertise in a wide range of areas which reflect regional, national and international requirements. The institution also has a commitment to the needs of the global world and the technology of the 21st century.

As the Head of the institution, my duty is to ensure that all my academic personnel are experienced and well qualified, offer quality education and service of highest standard to compete successfully in the global market. We are committed to raising standards for all of our students and ensuring that all have the opportunity to reach their highest potential.

As the lecturer of Law, I would like to mention here something. You may have your own reason to study law, but a law degree is an entry requirement for the legal profession. You may wish to become a barrister or a solicitor. The qualification can also help you to gain promotion in your current employment or offer academic stimulation and challenge. It is a challenging enterprise and the first most important task of a law student is to learn the language and the concepts of the law. We are here to help you to fulfill these tasks and to prepare you for the final examinations.

MCL Law, Business, Accountancy, Computer Science and IT, Tourism and Hospitality and Languages Departments are well organized and the teaching staff comprises a mix of professionals and academics who are highly experienced and qualified. Both full-time and part-time courses are available. All students follow a Programme based on lectures and seminars with intensive revision classes just before the examinations. As studying law requires a wide range of skills, extra-curricular activities including courtroom visit and mock trial are organized by the college. Students will have access to a new, well-stocked library with latest edition law books and journals. They will also have access to the Internet, and will be offered training in IT skills. Next to this, students are offered academic advice and counseling and easy access to the Student Services, which include accommodation and student welfare.

Although the College runs mainly the courses for the University of London (External System), MCL is looking forward to provide tuition for degrees of other UK Universities and professional bodies, including correspondence and online courses.
