OTHM Professional Diploma

Aimed at:

The course is suitable for people wishing to gain further knowledge in the field of travel, tourism and hospitality at the Diploma level.

Entry Requirements:

• Holders of OTHM Certificate or
• Equivalent academic qualifications or
• Mature students with a minimum of 8 year’s relevant experience
• including 3 year’s management experience +
• English Language Competency (IELTS 6.0)

• Hospitality Marketing and Management
• Human Resource Management

Part II

• Tourism and Hospitality Operations Management
• Financial Management and Information Systems
• Customer Relations and the Business Environment

Method of Assessment:

Written examinations.

Progression:

On successful completion of the OTHM Diploma a student may proceed to the OTHM Higher Diploma.

 OTHM Professional Higher Diploma

Aimed at:

The course is suitable for people wishing to gain the highest professional qualification by OTHM IN the
field of travel, tourism and hospitality at the Higher Diploma level.

Entry Requirements:

• Holders of OTHM Professional Diploma or equivalent or
• First Degree or HND/HNC or equivalent +
• English Language Competency (IELTS 6.0)

Course Structure:

Part I

• Marketing Communications for Tourism and Hospitality
• International Tourism & Hospitality Business Environment
• Corporate Business Strategy and Finance

Part II

• Management Information Systems
• Strategic Human Resource Management
• Project: Operations Management in the Business Environment

Method of Assessment:

Written examinations.

Progression:

On successful completion of the OTHM Higher Diploma students may pursue a career in the travel and hospitality industry or top up their qualification by applying for entry onto the BA (Hons) in Travel and Tourism in selected Universities which include among others the BA (Hons) in Tourism and Hospitality and London Southbank University.
